From Reframed to Frame in one click

To do this, you'll need two things:

  1. The free Chrome extension (which adds a "Send to Frame" button to the website)
  2. A small companion app called the Bridge (which handles sending the artwork to your TV)

Both are FREE, and setup takes about five minutes.

1. Install the Reframed Chrome Extension

  1. Go to the Reframed Uploader on the Chrome Web Store
  2. Click Add to Chrome
  3. To open it, click the puzzle piece icon at the top right of Chrome and find Reframed in the list

2. Install the Bridge App

The bridge app is a small program you install on your computer. It's what actually sends artwork from your browser to your TV. It sits quietly in the background and only does anything when you send a piece of art, but uses no resources otherwise.

macOS

  1. Download ReframedBridge.pkg
  2. Open the file and follow the steps on screen
  3. If your Mac warns you the app is from an unknown developer, right-click the file, choose “Open” then click “Open” again to confirm

Windows

  1. Download ReframedBridge-Setup.exe
  2. Open the file and follow the steps on screen
  3. If Windows shows a security warning, click "More info" then "Run anyway"

3. Pair with Your TV

  1. Turn on your Frame TV and make sure it's on the same Wi-Fi network as your computer
  2. Click the Reframed icon in Chrome's toolbar
  3. Click "Scan for TVs"
  4. Pick your TV from the list
  5. Your TV may show a popup asking for permission. If it does, press "Allow" with your remote
  6. Once the extension says "Connected," you're good to go

You only need to do this once. Reframed will remember your TV after that.

4. Send Artwork

  1. Find something you like on this website
  2. Open the artwork page and click "Send to Frame"
  3. The art shows up on your TV within seconds

You can also hover over any artwork in the gallery and click the TV icon to send it without opening the full page.

Common Issues

My TV doesn't show up when I scan

Make sure your TV is fully on (not just in standby) and on the same Wi-Fi as your computer. Try scanning again after a few seconds.

The upload didn't work

Click the Reframed icon and scan for your TV again. If it still doesn't work, close Chrome, reopen it, and try once more.

My Mac is asking about firewall permissions

Click "Allow." The bridge app needs permission to talk to your TV over your home network.

I never saw a pairing popup on my TV

Some TVs connect automatically without asking. If the extension says "Connected," everything is working fine.

How to Uninstall Everything

Chrome extension

Right-click the Reframed icon in Chrome and choose "Remove from Chrome".

Bridge app on Mac

Download the "Uninstall Reframed Bridge" file (link), open it, and enter your password when asked. It removes everything.

Bridge app on Windows

Go to Settings, then Apps, then Installed Apps. Find "Reframed Bridge" and click "Uninstall".
