Privacy Policy

reframed.gallery

No accounts or personal data

Reframed does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal information.

No tracking or analytics

We do not use cookies, analytics services, or any form of user tracking. Your browsing activity on reframed.gallery is not monitored or recorded.

Image downloads

All artworks are public domain and free to download. Downloads are served through Cloudflare's content delivery network. We do not log which images you download.

Contact form

If you use the contact form to send a message or request, your email address is used only to respond to your inquiry. It is not stored in a database, added to any mailing list, or shared with third parties.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel. Images are delivered via Cloudflare Images. These services may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) as part of their normal operation. We do not access or use these logs for tracking purposes.

Chrome Extension — Send to Frame TV

What the extension does

The Reframed Chrome extension adds “Send to Frame” buttons on reframed.gallery, allowing you to send artwork directly to your Samsung Frame TV over your local network. It does not modify any other websites.

Data stored locally

The extension stores a small amount of data in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local):

  • Your TV's local IP address and name
  • A pairing token issued by your TV

This data never leaves your device. It is used only to reconnect to your TV without re-pairing each time.

No data collection

The extension does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. It does not track your browsing history, usage patterns, or any other information. No data is sent to any server — all communication happens directly between your browser and your TV on your local network.

Network activity

The extension communicates only with:

  • Your Samsung Frame TV — via WebSocket on your local network to send artwork and manage the connection
  • Cloudflare Images (imagedelivery.net) — to fetch the full-resolution artwork file when you click “Send to Frame”

No data is sent to reframed.gallery, Google, or any other external service.

Native messaging host

The extension uses a small companion program (ReframedBridge) installed separately on your computer. This program handles the binary file transfer to your TV — a protocol that Chrome extensions cannot perform natively. It runs only when the extension initiates an upload and communicates exclusively with your TV on the local network.

Permissions

The extension requests only the permissions necessary to function:

  • Storage — save your TV connection settings locally
  • Native messaging — communicate with the ReframedBridge binary for file transfers
  • Offscreen document — scan your local network to discover Frame TVs
  • Alarms — keep the connection alive during uploads
  • Host permissions — access reframed.gallery to inject buttons, local network IPs to reach your TV, and imagedelivery.net to fetch artwork files

Reframed for Apple TV

The Reframed app for Apple TV (tvOS) follows the same privacy principles as this website: no account is required, no personal information is collected, and there is no tracking or analytics of any kind.

What the app communicates with

  • Supabase — The app fetches public artwork data (titles, artist names, image references) from the same read-only database that powers this website. No user data is sent to Supabase.
  • Cloudflare Images — Artwork images are delivered via Cloudflare's CDN, identical to the website. Cloudflare's servers may log standard request metadata (IP address, request time) as part of normal CDN operation. Reframed does not access or use these logs.
  • Your Samsung Frame TV — When you connect a Samsung Frame TV, the app communicates directly with your TV over your local Wi-Fi network. This communication never leaves your home network and no data is sent to Reframed or any third party.

Data stored on your device

The app stores the following in your Apple TV's secure system Keychain, locally only:

  • TV IP address — reconnect to your TV automatically
  • TV display name — show your TV's name in the app
  • TV model — show your TV's model in the app
  • Pairing token — skip the on-screen pairing prompt on reconnect

This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to any server. You can remove it by disconnecting your TV in the app's Settings or by deleting the app.

Local network scanning

When searching for a Samsung Frame TV, the app probes IP addresses on your local network to discover compatible devices. These probes are simple HTTP requests that stay entirely within your local network — they are not visible to or logged by Reframed.

Apple

The Apple TV app is distributed through the Apple App Store and runs on Apple's tvOS platform. Apple may collect standard analytics about App Store usage per their own privacy policy. Reframed does not receive or access this data.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the changes will be posted on this page. Since we don't collect email addresses, we cannot notify you directly — but given that we collect no personal data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
