Vittore Carpaccio

Vittore Carpaccio was an Italian painter of the Venetian Renaissance known for detailed, storytelling scenes. Born around 1465, he is best remembered for large cycles of paintings that narrate the lives of saints, filled with rich detail of Venetian life, architecture, ships, and costume.
