Adolf Kaufmann

Adolf Kaufmann was an Austrian landscape painter, active in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, known for atmospheric scenes of forests, coasts, and winter country. Born in 1848, he was largely self-taught and highly productive, and he sometimes signed works with different names, a common practice among busy painters supplying the art market of the time.
